Leadership Opportunities at Our High School

Developing Christ-Centered Leaders in High School

At Medina Christian Academy, leadership is something students grow into, not just something they’re given.

Our high school leadership opportunities are designed to help students build confidence, serve others, and develop strong character rooted in faith. Through a combination of service programs, academic recognition, and student-led initiatives, students learn to lead with purpose both inside the classroom and throughout the Medina community.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy

Leadership Through Service and Impact

The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy equips students to lead by serving others.

Throughout the year, students participate in leadership development while planning and carrying out service projects that meet real needs in the local community. These hands-on experiences help students build teamwork, initiative, and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead with purpose.

National Honor Society (NHS)

Excellence in Scholarship, Service, and Character

MCA’s National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, service, and integrity.

Members actively participate in volunteer efforts and service opportunities, using their abilities to make a meaningful impact. NHS encourages students to pursue excellence while staying grounded in character and compassion.

Kiwanis Student Recognition

Celebrating Leadership and Character

Through our partnership with the Medina Kiwanis Club, MCA honors students who consistently demonstrate leadership and strong character.

Each month, a Student of the Month is recognized. From this group, a Student of the Year is selected to represent MCA and receive a scholarship. This student is chosen not only based on Kiwanis criteria of leadership and character, but also as someone who reflects our Portrait of a Graduate—demonstrating a love for Jesus, a heart for serving others, a commitment to learning, and the ability to influence the world with integrity.

Student Council

Leading and Serving the School Community

Student Council gives seniors the opportunity to take an active role in school life.

Working together with faculty, student leaders help plan events, support initiatives, and represent their peers. It’s a practical way for students to grow in leadership, communication, and responsibility while serving the MCA community.

Preparing Students to Lead with Purpose

Leadership at MCA goes beyond titles—it’s about who students are becoming.

We equip students to lead with confidence, humility, and a heart for service—preparing them for college, career, and the calling God has placed on their lives.
