OHIO EdChoice Scholarship

What is EdChoice?

The Ohio Educational Choice Expansion Scholarship (EdChoice) provides students the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The EdChoice Expansion Program is income-based, and it provides scholarships to students in Kindergarten – 12th grade based on household income level.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the maximum scholarship amount is $6166 for grades K–8 and $8408 for grades 9-12.

Will I need to make payments? Yes, payments are made until we receive the scholarship approval.

Will I still owe tuition or fees? Yes, every student is responsible for fees. The remaining tuition depends on your scholarship.

Applying for EdChoice for the First Time

After you are enrolled in MCA, you may begin the EdChoice application process. If you are applying for the first time, you can follow these steps:

Submit documentation to the Scholarship Coordinator. You will need:

  1. A request form
  2. A recent utility bill showing both your service address & mailing address
  3. MCA’s limited power of attorney

Finally, submit your income verification online.

Renewing Your EdChoice Scholarship

Submit documentation to the Scholarship Coordinator. You will need:

  1. A renewal form
  2. A recent utility bill showing both your service address & mailing address
  3. MCA’s limited power of attorney

Only submit income verification if:

  • Your income verification from the previous year was under 200%
  • Your income decreased from the previous year
