The Difference of Our Teachers

Why Choose MCA?

The Difference of Our Teachers

If you are interested in learning about what sets a private Christian school apart from other schools in the area, let us shine a light on one of the most important differences of Medina Christian Academy: our teachers.

We believe all teachers should be celebrated for their tireless commitment to educating, guiding, and caring for their students and preparing them for the future. And, at MCA, our teachers are experienced educators with a love of learning who provide an excellent education to students at all grade levels. However, the role of our teachers also goes one step further—our teachers serve as spiritual mentors for our students.

When your child attends a Christian school like MCA, they are guided in discovering their part in God’s purpose for the world and their future. As teachers expand their knowledge in all areas of academics, from speech and debate to mathematics and science, they are also challenging students to strengthen their relationship with Christ and grow in their faith. We consider discipling our students at every grade level to be our privilege and responsibility.

How do MCA students benefit from our teachers?

  • They learn Bible truths and real-life applications.
Beginning in preschool, the Bible is an integral part of our academic philosophy.
  • They learn how to be like Christ.
Our hope isn’t that our students learn how to be like their teachers—we want them to be like Christ, and we model that expectation.
  • They are given opportunities to reflect on their relationship with God.
Our students attend spiritual emphasis retreats, weekly Chapel, and other group activities that give them a chance to pause their daily routine and focus on God.
  • They are wholeheartedly supported in strengthening their faith.
Our teachers are caring, compassionate individuals who set a strong example of faith to their students.
  • They are challenged to carry their faith into the future.
We encourage students to become disciples of God’s word and proclaim the goodness of Christ when they leave MCA.
